Black humour relieves the situation a little bit
Including the bright spark who opined that ”the floods are the only significant event to have occurred in Horsham since Mark Twain…”(who visited in 1890’s) and the sign on the pub in a town inundated by water which said “waterbeds in every room”.
The irony of the floods in Victoria is that it’s not too long ago that many of the towns affected were being threatened by bushfires.
