Black humour relieves the situation a little bit
Including the bright spark who opined that ”the floods are the only significant event to have occurred in Horsham since Mark Twain…”(who visited in 1890’s) and the sign on the pub in a town inundated by water which said “waterbeds in every room”.

When phones are out of order…and the list of rellies is a long one. Tried to call my Dad all day but phone engaged every time. But as they have probably only had 200mm of rain compared to the 300mm plus at Mt William in the Grampians and the house is elevated should be ok

Beaufort, Great Western and Halls Gap facing flooding issues. Western Highway cut between Ararat and Horsham. Thankfully, not as much rain overnight as had been predicted.
